Breathe

 

This book is meant to be suspenseful and I actives that through two different ways; the image and the text. The text itself makes you want to hold your breath. It is blurred slightly to give the dramatic feeling that this might be the character’s last breath. The image is of a dark seas with a girl in the water. She has bubbles around her but you can see that she doesn’t have a lot of time left. The viewer is left with a question, “Will she survive?”

The composition is a simple design, one that is just strait up and down. You first see the girl in the picture but then your eye’s follow her air bubbles up to the title and then back down to the author’s name in white. The Author’s name stands out a lot because it is white while everything else is in dark blue.

The end product was not only of one image but of several grouped together, placed strategically to make it look like it is believable.
